    The OceanGybe voyage is complete!

By Ryan on September 7, 2010

At 2pm, Sunday September 5th, Khulula and her crew sailed into False Creek to complete a 70,000+ km circumnavigation of the globe! Awaiting her arrival were family and friends, bottles of bubbly, a couple of news camera’s and many smiling faces. Thank you to everyone who made it down to the docks to make our homecoming so special. We will be posting pictures and news of upcoming events in the very near future. Watch this space!

    Position Report: 3 September 2010

By oceangybe on September 3, 2010

What an incredible morning; sunshine glinting off the calm waters of Sooke Inner Harbour. After beating into a stiff South Easterly most of yesterday, it was a pleasure to pull into these flat waters, and also to find Hugh’s parents, the Pattersons, anchored within and waiting to serve us a curry dinner with champagne! The party did not stop there, in another hour the s/V Centurion with Andy and Nancy Paine and our good friend Lawrence arrived to complete the 3 boat raft!

OceanGybe Webisode 6 – NZ Work n’ Surf

By oceangybe on September 8, 2010

In late 2007, Khulula dropped her anchor at The Bay of Islands, New Zealand. 5 months of boat work was needed. Road trips ensued. And now, with only days before they set sail north, they need to fit in one last paddle at one of NZ’s finest left point breaks. 15 ft. @ 15 secs.
